Notes of a Knitter with huge dreams

I haven't posted anything lately only because I have been pre-occupied with work and a friends wedding. I haven't knitted in a while. I think my next project will be washcloths. I have had several requests.

I am a washcloth knitting fool. I have been spending too much money on yarn so I have decided to make use of the leftover cotton from the shirt and the bag I made. I started off with the elementary version of just a garter stitch and now I have made a basic washcloth. Hopefully I can make one of the fancy ones this weekend. We'll see. I have made the decision to work on my TKGA submissions from now on. I can use some leftover yarn that I own. I need the practice anyway.

I finished the top and I don't like it at all. I guess cause I made it and I hate everything I make. This weekend I am taking pictures of everything and posting them online. I used the extra cotton yarn that I had and made a dishcloth. I plan on making a couple more as house warming gifts. I still want to make a sweater but we'll see how much it sucks first. I really want to rip that whole thing and start over. If I loose my winter weight I will.

I finished my first pair of socks on Friday. I took my grandma on a mini-road trip trying to find some new yarn stores. We stumbled upon one that looked great but that was a ruined trip because the store closed 10 minutes before we arrived. We went back to Inez's and I got help from the lady who always helps me and she picked out this purple/pink concoction for my newest project= a sleeveless turtleneck. I started Saturday and finished one whole side by Sunday. I honestly love size 15 needles. I had to make some adjustments to the pattern because I knit very tightly. Inez's sucks when it comes to yarn selection. I am thinking about going to the new place when I make the Malcolm/Jasmine sweater.
